Happy Halloween to all, this is one of my favourite times of year. However it is often the start of severe anxiety for many SEND pupils – the build up to Xmas! The number of changes we go through are numerous and often extensive from decorations, rehearsals for christmas productions and external visits (Panto etc). Our students can find everyday more and more stressful, filled with anxiety and distress.
Try and involve them in the changes happening in the classroom, limit or plan for the changes to come!
